Sleepy Bear Learns How to Fly

Hi Book Buddies,

Look at me. I’m flying! My friend, Cassie, from the book, Tar Beach, taught me how!

Sleepy Bear Flies!

All you have to do is stretch out on a blanket and go someplace in your mind.

In the story, Cassie flies over the George Washington Bridge in New York City. She wears it like a necklace. The bridge is very special to her because her daddy helped build it.

I want to go someplace special, too. First, I asked Kathleen for a a blanket. Then I stretched out and closed my eyes and daydreamed about going to Paris.

I chose Paris because Kathleen and Moosey-Moose went there last year. They told me all about it!

Next, I’m going to dream about BOOKS! I want to see Moosey-Moose’s book on the shelves, too!

Moosey-Moose Goes On An Adventure

I am going to fly to more fun places. Where are you going to fly? I hope it is someplace super fun, too.

Your Book Buddy,

Sleepy Bear

Hi Mrs.Hunter do you remember me? I'm from your 2008 class I believe. The short one with a lot of questions. It's been 3 years now I'm in 6th grade now, last year at Cedarhurst. It's o.k if you don't remember me. Please post more often I love this blog. Anyway I'm in challenge now and I liked to thank you for telling me to take the test. I'm going to slyvester next year. I wonder if you still check your comments. Please tell me if you do. It would mean a lot to me.
