Sleepy Bear’s Early Morning Reading

Hi Book Buddies,

I hope you are having a great school week. I’m reading more of my book, THIS IS THE TEACHER, by Rhonda Gowler Greene.

Oh No! All kinds of mayhem is happening in the classroom. Cupcakes are flying through the air.

 

 

 

 

The janitor came to help but he slipped on cupcakes on the floor and then the ants got mixed in, and the snake, too!

 

 

 

 

Uh oh! Now books are tumbling off the book shelves. I hope they don’t land on the cupcakes on the floor with the ants and the snake!

 

 

I’m looking ahead to my next book to read. Do you have a recommendation?

Sleepy Bear Reads a Back-to-School Book!

Hi Book Buddies,

Welcome back to school! I hope you had a fun summer.

Today I am reading a picture book about a teacher who thinks she is all ready for school! My reading and writing teacher, Kathleen, read this book to her students when she taught in a classroom. Her students really liked the story and all the funny things that happen to the teacher.

The book is called, THIS IS THE TEACHER, by Rhonda Gowler Greene and illustrated by Mike Lester.

 

 

 

 

“This is the teacher all ready for school.”

 

 

 

I have a prediction. I think the teacher is not going to be ready for school. But I wonder why. Do you know?

 

Uh Oh! The students were very impatient. That means they did not wait quietly before they entered the classroom.

 

 

 

Everything in the classroom went crashing to the floor! I don’t think the teacher was ready for that.
